WIRE-IN was founded by Madhumita, Shreya, and Susheen - three women from consulting, finance, and tech - who saw the need for more female voices in India's clean energy story.
We're building a space where women can connect, grow, and lead - through community, knowledge-sharing, and access to real opportunities in renewables. Together, we're working to make the sector more inclusive, innovative, and impactful.

With a background spanning consulting, client servicing, and learning & development, she is passionate about driving sustainability and innovation. She's always up for a conversation - whether it's about clean energy, career growth, or just exchanging stories over juice or boba!

Shreya Bhattacharjee
Co-Founder
Shreya Bhattacharjee leads Partnership strategy at Avaana Capital, India's largest climate - focused venture capital fund. Prior to this, she worked at the CEO's office of Enfinity Global, an Independent Power Producer with 3.5 GWs of solar, wind and green hydrogen assets under management. She is passionate about driving an equitable and just energy transition, and ensuring strong female voices have a seat at the table.

Susheen Kanungo is the Co-founder of WIRE-IN and a Software Engineer at Akamai. Initially drawn to the clean energy sector through her passion for technology, Susheen now plays an integral role in shaping WIRE-IN's vision and strategy. She is focused on creating solutions that not only drive innovation but also expand access, amplify voices, and ensure women have a strong presence in the renewable energy landscape. With a deep belief in technology's role in building a sustainable and equitable future, Susheen is dedicated to shaping an energy landscape that reflects diverse leadership.
Our Story
WIRE-IN was founded by three professionals with a shared vision: to address the stark gender gap in India's renewable energy sector. With women holding only 11% of jobs in the industry and even fewer in leadership positions, we recognized an urgent need for change.
Our founders bring diverse expertise in consulting, finance, and technology to create holistic solutions for the barriers women face. Together, we're building a community that provides skills, networks, and opportunities for women to lead in India's renewable energy revolution.
By uniting our strengths across policy, investment, and innovation, we're creating a sustainable framework for women's growth in the sector—strengthening female leadership, enhancing financial acumen, and leveraging technology to accelerate equitable renewable energy deployment.
